Browsing the many sparkling windows of Hatton Garden jewellers as you try to find the perfect gold or platinum wedding bands is an exciting and sometimes almost overwhelming experience. For those who have been thinking about styles for some time this task is relatively straight forward.
But for the many who have yet to decide, it is important to experiment with a wide variety of gold and platinum wedding bands. Only by doing so can you understand what looks great on the finger. It could be that the convex band that your mother or father might wear is a little too rounded for your liking, or that the flatter ring that your friend wears appears just that little bit too contemporary on your hand. Unlike your wedding flowers, cake or dress, your platinum wedding bands will continue to be worn after the big day, and as such it is imperative that you love your choice!
Rennie & Co, Hatton Garden jewellers, specialise in the handcrafting of stunning wedding rings for both him and her. A popular collection inspired from the Victorian era are our beautiful hand engraved wedding rings. Available in a range of widths starting from 2mm, our gold and platinum rings are individually hand engraved to create the most beautiful vintage designs that are enduring in their appeal.
Our hand engravings are available in Leaf Twine, Orange Blossom, Flower and Scroll, and Autumn Leaves designs. As each and every band is engraved by hand as opposed to being a casting or machine engraved, the intricate detailing soon becomes apparent when tried on. Finished with a beaded edge, this vintage detailing further draws the eye to this magnificent yet delicate pattern.
For many ladies, this is a ring to be sat next to an existing engagement piece. As such, our Hatton Garden jewellers will explain that these engraved rings can be crafted in either 18ct yellow gold, 18ct rose gold, 18ct white gold or 950 platinum. 18ct gold contains 750 parts gold and 250 parts alloy to further strengthen the ring. Platinum comprises of 950 parts platinum and 50 parts alloy. We recommend sticking to the same metal and purity as your engagement ring to avoid exaggerated wear and tear between the two rings.
